Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has announced a new software update for one of its Android-based handsets, the HTC Wildfire. According to the company, the new “HTC Wildfire Firmware comes with new features and with a series of improvements for the mobile phone. However, it take a look to release the handset vendor made available for the new device, we see that the enhancements are mainly aimed at the services Wildfire supports.

 

Thus, the new software update for HTC Wildfire should do the following:
- Enhances support for Facebook status display when dialing;
- Increases support for Google Services like Google Talk, Android Market and others;
- Improves combining contacts from Outlook and other source

 

At the same time, HTC has noticed that the new firmware solution won't erase data from user’s devices, and provide a backup of personal files on Wildfire is not necessary. So users should consider performing a backup that won't take too long time and they will be safe in case something goes wrong with the update process. The new firmware was out for the time being, so it remains for Wildfire owners to download and install the solution to see what has been changed.
